Abstract

The World Health Organization estimates that 80% of positive COVID-19 recover from the disease without hospital treatment. Within solid waste, capable of spreading the disease, there are those categorized as dangerous, including COVID-19 waste. . The first phase of the research was remote observational using an instrument to identify the use of measures to avoid contracting COVID-19; The places will be: Plaza La Villa, Simón Bolívar Park and the La Villa de Los Santos Polyclinic, these places that are frequented by the population to buy food, recreate and take care of their health. Once the data was collected, it was processed with the Microsoft Excel 2016 program. The results showed that in Plaza La Villa, the use of a mask in the month of June with 99.8%, followed by May with 97.5%. In addition, this research aims to evaluate the current situation in prevention to protect against COVID-19 in La Villa de Los Santos, Los Santos province, in the year 2021.
