Abstract

The main purpose of this essay is to emphasize the importance of the appropriation of an evaluation from a formative approach in school environments, from initial teacher training, in Escuelas Normales Superiores (ENS). According to that, it carried out a theoretical study about terms related to the methodology of the educational evaluation; considering it is crucial to the contemporary education, since it allows to carry out a continuous monitoring to the teaching process, it demands a paradigm change to inclusion and equity and, it is possible to guarantee to the students, negotiable process and a meaningful and thoughtful environment.

In conclusion, an appropriate educational evaluation is challenging, motivating, positive and it involves the participation of different members of the school community in each process, in order to apply analysis tools to design and establish appropriate improvement plans, which give opportunities to achieve an integral quality in the initial teacher training what is a challenge today.
