This article analyzed the potential of the mobile application "Convivamos" to strengthen citizenship competencies in eighth-grade students. A qualitative literature review of studies on the use of ICT in citizenship education was conducted using academic databases. The results indicated that the integration of ICT in teaching citizenship competencies creates more dynamic and interactive learning environments, favoring student motivation. Digital tools were found to facilitate the development of skills such as participation, communication, and critical thinking. However, challenges such as the digital divide and the need for teacher training in ICT competencies were identified. The study concluded that "Convivamos" has the potential to significantly contribute to strengthening citizenship competencies, provided it is designed considering the findings from the literature, such as creating contextualized learning experiences, promoting digital literacy, and incorporating innovative pedagogical strategies.
