The objective of the article is to identify the technological tools and the didactic experiences applied by the professors of the University of Panama in virtual education during the time of confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The explanatory documentary research method was used, as well as the bibliographic review of several authors related to technological resources. Primary sources made up of articles in indexed journals, reports obtained from the databases between 2019 and 2022 were consulted. Finally, the findings obtained in the analysis of the information were presented, the review of the pedagogical foundations in designing digital educational resources through the development of an instructional model that implements student-centered learning theories in the search for knowledge acquisition through strategies and tools that lead to the development of significant learning.
